Okay, its about time i updated this, but it wouldn't be updated unless i had some fan-fucking-tastic news to tell all none of you who read this.

Let me start off by saying that searching for a job (if you weren't an AP kid or someone who had direct connections to a job) sucks balls like nothing could hope to suck balls in the current era. Of course we are in the middle of a recession, in one of the most populated regions in the state (CA), with some of the highest costs of living (the living by the beach tax :P). These all mean that jobs that are normally accessible to someone like me (young adult college student) are being hogged by people who would have a better job were we not screwed by the stock market a short while ago. I must admit that i wasn't really trying as hard as i could, i spend much of my time on the web doing nothing and occasionally studying for my classes, but I have been whining about having a job for about 2 years now.

Part of the reason I have been whining was because i really wanted one, but I didn't have the means of transport or age to do so. This was solved a year and a half ago by my 18th birthday and half a year ago by obtaining my drivers license. with those problems solved its time to attack the meanest one of all:

Job applications. In this age of the internet, I fucking hate job applications for one reason. Most of the buggers are online forms, which sounds handy because hey, i'm always online. The problem with this (and of course anything where you have to get noticed on the web) is that there are thousands upon thousands of other applicants who are also vying to take up the niche you are. This means that you never know if your application was even considered or tossed into the trash before its even read. There was nothing worse for me than walking into a place and hearing :"Just apply online on the site." flipping me off would have been a lot more effective, and you wouldn;t have wasted my time or your breath.

Lets say you did turn an actual application into a living breathing human being, things were still aggravating because often they just stuff it somewhere, maybe to disappear into the void of unemployment.

Overall, applying for jobs sucks.

However, it pleases me to announce (in formal text) that I know have a job and will be going in for training this coming wednesday. The best piece of new, aside from the fact that I have a bloody job now, is where i am working. I have a job at Borders! Just about the best place in town for books and IMO the best place for Manga in the county. I can't wait to get started and i am going to try extra hard so that i am not just a seasonal temp worker(the one downside) but an actual employee come the new year.

I am so excited, trob out

That is why we will purge the world of incorrect grammar, unless it is being used to comedic effect by people who know otherwise.
